WHAT: A new conference to announce the creation of a task force to follow new leads Ronda Blaylock case, an unsolved murder of a 14-year old girl from 1980. The Ronda Blaylock Homicide Task Force is comprised of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, the Surry County Sheriff’s Office and the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation.

Ronda was a 14-year-old ninth grader who lived in Forsyth County and attended school there. Her body was discovered on September 29, 1980, three days after she was reported missing. Her body was found in Surry County a few yards from the Stokes County line.
