Henderson County Shooting Death Investigation
Raleigh, NC
– The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) was requested by the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office to investigate a shooting that happened at a residence located at 81 Conservative Lane in Hendersonville on October 20, 2021. The victim has been identified as Rachel Olivia Buchanan. Buchanan suffered from multiple gunshot wounds and died en route to the hospital. Special Agents from the Western District are looking into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing. No additional information is available at this time.
