A Raleigh woman is scheduled to appear in Wake County court on Monday, following her arrest today by an agent from the State Bureau of Investigation.

The agent with the SBI’s Diversion and Environmental Crimes Unit charged Lisa Danielle Petrie, 41, with three felony counts of obtaining controlled substances by fraud or forgery.

Petrie presented multiple prescriptions for both Hydrocodone-Chlorpheniram and Hydrocodone-Homatropine cough syrups to Raleigh area pharmacies.

These cough syrups are classified as Schedule III controlled substances by the North Carolina Controlled Substances Act.

Petrie turned herself in at the Wake County detention center and was fingerprinted and photographed by detention center staff. Petrie received a $15,000 unsecured bond from the magistrate before being released.
