PUBLIC NOTICE
 
Raleigh, NC – As part of a program to renew national re-accreditation, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) is scheduled for a remote assessment administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA).  This accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-art standards in four areas:  policy and procedures, administration, operations and support services.  The SBI will be evaluated under the CALEA Advanced Law Enforcement Program.
A team of assessors from CALEA will conduct the SBI’s remote assessment.  As part of the remote assessment, SBI employees, the SBI’s public safety partners and members of the community are invited to offer comments during a virtual public comment session on November 9, 2021, at 4:00 p.m.  To join the virtual public comment session:

                        2. Enter the event password:  NCSBI (62724 from phones)
                        3. Click "Join Now."
                        4. Follow the instructions that appear on your screen to join the teleconference.
If you are unable to attend the virtual public comment session, you are also invited to offer comments by calling (984) 204-2643 on November 9th from 1-2:30 p.m.  All comments will be shared with the Assessment Team.
