Domestic Violence Reports
Reporting of domestic violence-related homicides is an ongoing requirement for all state and local law enforcement agencies.
A Domestic Violence Related Homicide Report is to be completed upon the filing of charges, or when charges would have been filed against the offender if other circumstances, (like the death of the offender) had not intervened.
The SBI developed the report form in consultation with the N.C. Council for Women and the Domestic Violence Commission, the N.C. Sheriffs' Association, and the N.C. Association of Chiefs of Police.
